How many CEUs does Washington require?
To renew a respiratory therapy license, you must have 30 hours of continuing education every two years. Respiratory therapists must have completed this requirement by their birth date every two years. The continuing education (CE) hours must have been obtained during the preceding two years, from birth date to birth date. If you’re reporting this year, any CE that was obtained before your birth date two years ago or after your current birth date can’t be used to satisfy the continuing education or employment requirement. The expiration date for all credentials is the practitioner’s birthday.
Can I get all of my CEUs online?
You can obtain all of your CEUs online. We offer Real-Time Live Broadcast, Recorded Live Credit Courses, and our Self-Directed (available 24/7) courses. See our Discounts page for special offers (including Unlimited CEUs).
Are your courses approved by both the AARC and the Washington State Department of Health (WSDH)?
Our courses are AARC approved and accepted by the WSDH.
How much does my renewal cost?
The license renewal fee is $110.
