• Explain the pathophysiologic principles, indications, contraindications, and procedures for pulmonary function tests, including: diffusing capacity, bronchodilator benefit, bronchial challenge, exhaled nitric oxide analysis, preoperative assessment, disability assessment, cardiopulmonary exercise, and metabolic assessment (calorimetry).
• Explain the implications for results from tests, including: diffusing capacity, bronchodilator benefit, bronchial challenge, exhaled nitric oxide analysis, preoperative assessment, disability assessment, cardiopulmonary exercise, and calorimetry.
